Brandon Hines Bio
Palestra.net Reporter Brandon Hines is a native of Birmingham, Al. and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. Brandon joined the Palestra.net team in August 2008. He graduated from Huffman Magnet High School and is currently a senior pursuing his bachelors in broadcast journalism at The University of Alabama-Birmingham. (Go Blazers!!!) Brandon got his first taste of the television world in Livingston, Al at the University of West Alabama where he anchored the highly rated show UWA Today. After his Sophomore year in school he felt the need to return back to his hometown. During the summer of 2007 Brandon received his first internship being only a sophomore in college at ABC 3340 in Birmingham, Al. There he covered numerous local stories. But during the summer of 2008, Brandon finally got his big break in the intern world when he was accepted to intern for Fox News Channel in New York City. There he produced numerous segments and also was noted as one of the best interns to anchor the sports segment on Fox’s number one rated cable morning show Fox & Friends. Brandon says his favorite part of the job is meeting new and interesting people from all around. “Every person on this planet has a unique and interesting story to tell,” he says. During his free time he enjoys reporting, flying on flight simulators, traveling and spending time with his love ones and is not afraid to say he’s a momma’s boy.
