Republican Headquarters In Auburn
2008-10-03 00:05:36
Hey All,
I stopped by the Republican Headquarters here in Auburn today to have a look at what these guys are up to. Lee County is traditionally dominated by republicans and it would appear that this tradition is going to continue. The Republican Headquarters is very involved in the area, parking cars during home football games, handing out campaign signs, bumper stickers, and buttons. They also register voters. On top of this, they work closely with the Auburn student organization, Auburn College Republicans, which is the largest College Republicans organization in the sate. I called the FOY student union helpline to find out if there was a Lee County Democratic Headquarters and they told me NO. However, I did some searching and found the Lee County Democratic Headquarters a few miles from campus. Conspiracy? Probably not. It was too dark for me to get a picture tonight, but I'll be stopping by there tomorrow or early next week to see how they are combating this Republican machine.
The Republican Headquarters is located on the corner of College Street and Glenn about a block from Toomer's corner.
