Hillary Clinton Is On Fire
2008-04-30 02:01:54
Senator Hillary Clinton hit up the Graham Fire Station in North Carolina on April 28. Hundreds of eager Graham-ians arrived at 6:30 a.m. in what was essentially torrential downpour to see the candidate. The capacity of the firehouse was only 500. Wet people and small spaces do not a pleasant experience make. And I couldn't help but wonder, What would have happened if somewhere in Graham there was a fire?
Graham is located right beside Elon, who received a visit from Bill Clinton only three days earlier. Alamance County citizens can now say they met two Clinton's in one week.
While the Clinton's seem to be spending a great deal of time in the Elon area, home of the Elon University Phoenix, whether the Phoenixs' "rise from the ashes" distinction translates to Senator Clinton's campaign remains to be seen.

Bill Clinton Visits Elon
2008-04-24 14:13:54
Former President Bill Clinton stumps for wife Hillary at Elon University in light of the May 6 North Carolina Primary. Clinton's speech was about two hours late, prompting a fair amount of students in attendance to shout the merits of Senator Obama in some sort of retaliation as the President took the stage. Still, campus was abuzz throughout the day while some professors recalled the Clinton's 1992 visit to the university. Only about 25 percent of Elon students are eligible to vote in the NC primary, but still Clinton attested to Hillary's record of advocacy for college students in order to garner support among a demographic largely favoring Barack Obama. The President shook my hand three times in a 30 second period. I wonder if this means I'm not very memorable.
