Epic finish! Good or no good??

I'm back home for winter break and yesterday watched the ASU vs BYU basketball game at the stadium shootout tournament. Sadly the game was not televised in HD. The game was played at Cardinals stadium in Glendale in front of what seemed like 45 people.
The game had an NCAA tournament like intensity though and ASU was able to pull off the victory led by future lottery pick James Harden and Senior Jeff Pendergraph. They combining for 52 of the teams 76 points. BTW BYU was undefeated going into the game.
The ending was epic though. BYU was down one point with three seconds to go and Charles Abouo for BYU tipped a block shot in at the buzzer for the win. Fortunately for ASU though they said the ball was still on his fingertips as the clock expired so they called it off. I am a little biased but check out the replay and let me know what you think. ASU QB kicked out of women's bball game

Its the night before he Duel in the Desert and what are people talking about in Tempe? QB Rudy Carpenter got kicked out of a women's high school basketball game earlier in the week. Thats right. Rudy was at a game that his girlfriends younger sister was playing in and heckled the refs to the point where him and others in his group were kicked out of the game.
multiple sources say Rudy got a little belligerent, a little salty with his language. The scene prompted school officials to call the police (the situation was resolved before the patrol sergeant arrived), and it left some witnesses shaking their heads.
Wow. I mean I know Rudy is a competitor but come on, getting kicked out of a women's high school basketball game. Not many ASU fans are giving him the benefit of the doubt though, maybe the officiating was just that bad. Well hopefully the zebras will be better in Tucson for the rivalry game tomorrow.

Finally!

Arizona State finally snapped their six game losing streak by defeating Washington 39-19 in Seattle. The Devils have never lost seven straight games in their history and the last time they lost six straight was all the way back in 1929!
The seniors were the key component for ASU last night. WR Mike Jones had 146 yards receiving and two TD's. RB Keegan Herring plowed for 144 yards on the ground and found the end zone twice. Rudy completed 70% of his passes and threw no interceptions. And Safety Mike Nolan scored a defensive TD for the second consecutive week.
The Senior group could have easily given up on this tough season. Instead they put forth a solid effort and still believe they can salvage the year by winning out and becoming bowl eligible. While this win came against a winless Huskies team, it seems as if the pieces might finally coming together to make a late season run.
