The Kids Are More Than Alright.

You get the feeling the world is Annual's for the taking. The barely 20's from Raleigh, North Carolina crafted an album of mature brilliance called "Be He Me" and released it to great acclaim in the fall of 2006. In the fall of 2008 they followed up that self produced gem with a work of stunning sophistication. "Such Fun" will no doubt turn up on more than a few year end lists.

Annuals "Such Fun" In Stores Tomorrow

I first became familiarized with North Carolina sextet Annuals on the way to SXSW 2007. Julie and I caught the kids in Fayetteville, Arkansas while they were promoting their debut “Be He Me.” I can call them kids because I remember Adam Baker being pre-occupied with attaching a drink bracelet that he scored from someone else to his wrist during our interview.
