It's been a decade and a half so perhaps you've forgotten. Arrested Development was huge back in the day (back then I don't think people said "back in the day" actually). Their debut album sold millions, MTV spun the hell out of Tennessee, they won a Grammy, and Rolling Stone named Arrested Development artist of the year. That year was 1993.
The Follow up to "3 Years, 5 Months & 2 Days" (after an MTV unplugged record of course) was "Zingalamaduni." Critics dug the 1994 album, but fans didn't. The release peaked at 55 on the Billboard 200.
The album's failure led to "creative differences," and frontman Speech leaving for a solo career. Speech's solo bow didn't do well either. The group was back together by 2000.
Arrested Development had always enjoyed success in Europe, and especially the Far East. The group has concentrated their efforts overseas, but told us at Langerado in March of 2008 that they were refocusing on America.
