Easy To Listen To... Hard To Google

AM is a man, not a band. His name is easy to remember and his songs will stick in the old cranium too.

He's an LA guy now, but comes from New Orleans. The horror of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath are topics explored on his album "Soul Variations."

That's not to say "Soul Variations" is a protest album. AM puts it this way, "Soul Variations has more of a political edge. But like many of my songs, I don't think it has to be restricted to that. I try to write songs that can be applied to different situations so the listener can be free to interpret the songs and not be restricted by what I intended."

Born in Tulsa, AM relocated with his family to The Big Easy at age 13. The city was his home and his muse through college at Loyola. It is there that AM started writing his own material.

Since moving to Los Angeles, AM has found a family in the so called "Hotel Cafe" scene. Hotel Cafe is a place where singer/songwriters can play, collaborate, and offer mutual support.

His new all acoustic EP, "Endings Are Beginnings," is out now on iTunes and CD Baby.
