4th of July Rockfest

I struggled with the title of this blog....simply because everything in this blog is related...and not related. A) Happy belated 4th of July...I love America. B) The music I saw on the 4th of July melted my face off. It all started with a gentleman named Snoop Dogg. Not only does he take the stage to Carmina Burona O Fortuna on his pimped out Trike Bike....his overall performance is better than any of his songs. Nick Jones said it best, Snoop Dogg doesn't have a concert, he has a party. He smokes and drinks on stage. He plays songs he doesn't even sing on just because he likes them. And every single second of it is absolutely amazing. Hearing him talk in between songs was just as great as him rapping.

We interviewed some awesome bands...most notably for me was Fiction Plane. This is because their lead singer is Sting's son, Joe Sumner. And he rules. He spoke about his tour with Snoop Dogg and how the phrase Code 7 is used for everything....literally. I have many more stories....but I will let you know about them in the future.....stay tuned......
